OK, perhaps we are entering an era of seriously no-nonsense mobile phones. As a kind of what philosophers call and ‘reductio ad absurdum (confronting an argument with it’s absurd consequences) this one is seemingly too minimal to even have a proper name. I guess faced with this, I’m probably a ‘featurist’ after all. Three buttons (pressure direction sensitive) and a razor-blade unfolding display. No more, no le… – well that’s all.

Thom Yorke is sampling some of interesting coming remixes of The Eraser (press some of the weird buildings and close the original window). And on Samurai FM there are as usual great stuff, incl. hours of great streams with on-everybody’s-lips mr. Hans-Peter Lindstrøm and Mr. Scruff. Go treat yourself with these smallish but great goodies while you’re still at the computer.

Have you seen the movie about Al Gore’s slide show yet? It’s unbalanced, evangelical, often overstated, simplistic, sentimental, an awful Apple product placement and probably got numerous other shortcomings. But it doesn’t matter. It’s basic points are bona fide and the matter urgent enough to allow for all of its pathos: Consume less, travel less, change lifestyle and turn your energy demand back to something like your grand grand parents (don’t expect ‘innovative’ technology to save you here) and don’t feel self righteous doing so. It’s not cool, it’s simply the way it needs to be until we know more about the damage done so far.

Here’s a trailer. (YouTube movie coming when I learn to embed in it WordPress)

And while you’re in the mood, buy it and make sure to support IsTheWorldTooHotOrNot and other relevant initiatives to make this movie viral and mandatory.
